PRERANA Project Description

PRERANA Project is a Four-year Project which is currently implementing in Dang District by Nepal Women Community Service Center (NWCSC). Funded by FAIRMED Foundation Nepal it is being implemented in six rural municipalities i.e. Babai, Dangisharan, Shantinagar, Bangalachuli, Gadhwa, Rajpur, of Dang district. Basically, PRERANA project works in three thematic areas i.e. Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) and Disability. Along with this, PRERANA Project has adopted some cross-cutting approaches i.e. Leaving No One Behind (LNOB), Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), Disability Inclusive Development (DID) during planning, Implementation and Evaluation of Program.

January 2025 to December 2028

Objectives

  1. Increased capacity and accountability of health system actors to address neglected tropical diseases.
  2. Communities function as active change agents to access basic health services and their social security rights.
  3. Evidence-based planning and health service delivery is institutionalized.
